One Last Card for Christmas

Here are a few more Christmas cards I sent out to many of my friends and family. The making of it was easy for assembly line type cardmaking. The two dies were from Sizzix and were the Reindeer Names die:
and the Sizzix die made for Spellbinders Fun Stampers Journey called Dashing Deer Die - 0254 (only available as a Host Exclusive) inwhich I used a friend's die to make. The papers were cut to make it a diagonal stripe if at all possible. I used Provo Craft (old stash of Christmas papers) and Bazzill Red and white and black cardstocks.  American Crafts Glitter paper for the wreath. I used ready made card bases cut down to size to speed up the process. Over 60 were made and went out as our family Christmas cards.
I hope your holidays have been wonderful and your families and friends are healthy. We are all recovering from illness and really enjoying relaxing together watching Hallmark Movies!!

Sparkling Blessing Vintage Tea Card

For today's post I wanted to share how to make a glitzy card for the holidays or a special birthday like this one I made. I started with the Vintage Tea Cup Set, which as you know is my favorite of all the Kennedy Grace Creations and was my first stamp set of theirs. The sentiment reads: Blessings to you. You're as special as a vintage tea. Using Neenah Crest White in 80 pound cardstock, I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Ink which is compatible with coloring with Copic Markers. To make the card more luxurious I used Deep Red paired with a hot pink deep red. Markers used were: R29, RV29, RV13. Further, to give the leaves a deep romantic yet vintage feel I pair deep olive greens with blue green: YG63, YG67, BG13. Then to add shadows and make it look three dimensional: C1, and C3.

Next, I chose the newest Spellbinders Chantilly Lace collection called Bella Rose Lattice Layering Frame by Becca Feeken, to frame the beautiful tea set. Using the Tonic Mirror Gold cardstock really made it POP!! I backed it with a stiff American Crafts Glitter cardstock. Also, I had die cut the stamped panel with the frame previously and then adhered all 3 layers (stamped panel, mirror gold, and glitter cardstock) to the card base.
Next came the embellishments and I loved this ribbon with the gold edge and matching deep magenta colors to bring out the colors even more. I made a triple bow, but that didn't seem like enough so I decided to add the vertical ribbon piece with the rhinestone buckle to really bring the sparkle to the already glitzy card! Also, added Wink of Stella in clear to the roses to add glitter to them.
Please take time to go over and see my post on Kennedy Grace Creations blog.

Sizzix Jen Long Candyland House Card

Recently I went to a store here in Florida called Violettes in Lakeland.  The artist that helps make the samples for Jen Long and Sizzix was there and shared with all of us all about the new dies that Sizzix is coming out with. We all had a wonderful time and I got to make this adorable Jen Long Fold a long die Gingerbread card!! Gorgeously cut out of Sizzix papers as well!! Such fun!
First, to cut these Fold-a-long cards, you will need a longer platform to match up with the die itself. The paper pad has all the color papers that you will need to die cut all the images out. This one comes with the little candies. Using a Filefolder fineline glue bottles really help put all of these images together.
There were so many other dies to purchase I had to come home with the new Thank You folder die which I will showcase later on.
Here is Violettes Scrapbook store information and here is the die itself:

Paper Smooches Let's Chill Snowman

Hey, I am here crafting away to get those gifts, gift tags, and cards made for my extra special friends and family.  My massive Christmas cards bonanza post is coming on Friday. Stay tuned for that. But for today I am doing my last post for
Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2017 Challenge.
Paper Smooches was one company I began to follow many years ago and this was my very first stamp set. And since today is all about wanting to finish this year's Christmas tags 2017 Challenge, I felt it was appropriate to use him. So here it is:
I stamped on Neenah White Cardstock #80 with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and die cut it into a circle. I used a combination of Spellbinders dies from two sets as to have them stair step in size. The die cutting tool was my Platinum 6. The next steps were to cut a piece of transparency for the top layer, and using American Crafts Gold Glitter thick cardstock one piece a size larger, and 2 with the centers cut out. I sandwiched these (with the centers cut out) in between the larger gold glitter circle and the transparancey. Adhesive was Ranger Crystal Lacquer and did a fabulous job drying clear. I used Kennedy Grace Creations Chantilly sequins. I am apart of their design team and just loving using their sequins! Brings such fun to projects, don't you think?
Of course, I am getting ahead of myself. Copic Coloring is my favorite thing to do, and he was easy to color. Marker colors: C1, C3, but I added B000 to make him look "cold". His scarf colors: YG17, YG67, R29, R24 and carrot nose: YR07, YR15.
The tag and holly were cut from Bazzill Forest Green cardstock, with a gold Krylon pen used all around the edges. Such an easy technique to add pizzazz and dimension on darker papers. Adding the Christmas Red Stickles as "berries" to finish the holly. All adhered together again with Ranger Crystal Lacquer.
Day 12 Interactive whether sing, slide, shake or open.

Welcome Home for Christmas Gift Tag

Using my watercolors are not my "go-to" tools but today I decided to break them out and what fun I had! I used a Melissa Frances paints and just added color all around! Taking the Winnie And Walter This Awesome House, I stamped it with VersaMark ink several times using my MISTI tool. I then added American Crafts Zing Gold embossing powder and heat embossed. I did this twice to get a rugged look like the designers had!! I added Copic Markers to the door and frame to add dimension. I then stamped the Welcome Home, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink several times. Using 2 different size circle dies, I cut the watercolor and gold glitter cardstock by American Crafts out with my Platinum 6 machine. I used the Spellbinders decorative circle die for the frame of the whole tag. Added beautiful turquoise ribbon to finish.

Season's Greetings Gift Tag-Day 6

I love using lavender with my cards but really don't have stamps with those images. I dug through my supplies and finally found beautiful lavender flowers from Petaloo!! Yippee! I stamped the bough from a Winnie and Walter Winter Wonderland stamp set in Colorbox Evergreen, and used the sentiment in which I heat embossed it with Mirror Gold powder from Stampamania.

Merry Christmas Around the World Tag Day 10

Inspired by the designers examples on Day 10 I have made this brightly colored tag using an array of a combination of different colors as per the challenge with Ellen Hutson 12 Tags for Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2017 Challenge.
The designers did brightly colored tags made with all types of Copic inks and one had an ornament that looked like a globe on it. I followed their lead completely with the supplies I had on hand. First, I used the following Copic Reinkers: BG13, RV29, RV02,Y19 coupled with drops Copper alcohol ink with a base of colorless blender on this piece of glossy cardstock. Making sure that the surface I was using was a craft mat so that the colors didn't permanently die it!! I wore gloves as well!! LOL!! I dried the piece of paper with my embossing heat tool and set it aside.
Next I used my Tim Holtz Sizzix Globe die cut out of Neenah 80# cardstock. I then inked the die cut with VersaMark Ink pad over the whole surface. After attaching it to a pair of cotton pliers, I poured American Crafts Zing Copper Embossing powder over and then heat set that. Removing the pliers and re inking where they had made a mark, I did it again as to have a dense layer of Copper over the whole die cut image. Viola!

I then cut my Bright piece of paper into a tag, layering the "World" die cut and adhering with Scrapbook Adhesives 3L pop squares strategically placed with the continents were so as not to show.  Added a die cut Paper Smooches "Merry Christmas" using blue metallic cardstock.
I love how a plan comes together and this one kinda did. I wish I had that ornament that the designer used but if I win the big prize, I can purchase ALL the supplies I need!! Thank you for following along and hoping everyone is having a wonderful Christmas ALL AROUND THE WORLD!!

Day 11

I just love these little bunnies from my Memory Box called Love & Laughter stamp set!! So since I hadn't used this image on any of my tags, I chose to use her on this one!! Here is the whole view of the tag.

Using different soft colored inks and my MISTI tool, I stamped my image onto Neenah White cardstock. I used the following Copic Markers: C1,C3, YG11, YG13, RV02, R22,0. After fully coloring the image, I die cut it out with my Spellbinders Platinum and Steel Rule Tag die without taking it all the way to the end so as to add that little bit on the edge so I could add the velvet ribbon. Ribbon in satin to match for the tag as my final touch.

Kaisercraft Wooden Deer Tag

Here for yet another tag is for Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist  2017 Challenge of Day 3 to use a neutral and natural look.

I love all of Kaisercraft Christmas papers but alas have used all of them that I have bought and now only have the Kaisercraft wooden embellishment of this fabulous deer. I added the Kaisercraft rub-on's of the deer at the bottom as well. To add a feminine touch, I did a triple ribbon out of distressed seam binding in a light sage. The tags themselves were diecut from Kraft cardstock using the Spellbinders Tag, You're it Steel Rule die in my Platinum 6 machine. Sequins were added because they were on my craft table. Don't you love that? Use what is on hand!!
Merry Christmas!

Pattern Paper Poinsettia Tag

Using Stampendous Poinsettia stamp set I stamped on pattern papers and even stamped the extra flourish with Versa Mark ink pad, and then added Stampendous Frantage embossing with pink flakes. Cut a large tag from scrap of My Minds Eye green polka dot pattern papers. The leaves were cut with a 1.5 inch circle punch to make a leaf shape. Loads of fussy cutting otherwise of the stamped images. Added more Versa Mark ink around the outside and then heat embossed the edges using the same powder. Just to give you a better idea, here are the supplies I used:

Super fun in real life and the ribbons were May Arts Pink and Cream ticking and pins were Maya Road and Tim Holtz; Paper Smooches Merry Christmas die cut in pink cardstock; Stickles, flower center, and Crystal Lacquer were also used. I loved the soft feminine look of the tag. Enjoy!

Memory Box Bunny Tag-Day 8

Don't you just love these little bunnies all snuggled up for winter!!? I do and had to make this tag using them. It is a stamp set my Memory Box called Love & Laughter. The tag is following a sketch in the Ellen Hutson in The Classroom 12 tags for Christmas with a Feminine Touch 2017.

I used my Christmas papers and used this double sided holly paper from my stash, to make the tag base, and matched other cardstock to add to match the sketch. I used a Fiskars border punch as a fancier border to the bottom of the tag to add a feminine touch.
                                                                       Day 8 Sketch
Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI tool, I stamped my image onto Neenah Bright White cardstock. I used the following Copic Markers: E13, E15, C1, C3, YG93, YG63, R20, R22, R24, R29, R39, R59,0. After fully coloring the image, I die cut it out with my Spellbinders Platinum and Circle die.
