Quick Christmas Basket for friends

Just a quick Christmas treat basket for special friends! I love chocolate dipped pretzels but my favorite is WHITE chocolate dipped pretzels, so they get 2 bags of those.  I sprinkled red sugar on top for a pretty look.  Also, made oreos dipped in the chocolate, and some homemade iced gingerbread men.  I added another one of my favorites, Mocha Frappuccinos, just in case they didn't get enough kick from the sugar load!!
Yummy and thoughtful for dear friends we love!
Merry Christmas,

Fabulous inspiration

I find the most inspiring things on blogs and have so much fun pinning them! So much fun, that I actually find time to make something from that inpiration! Can you believe it!! Usually it is one or the other but not both.  Recently, I found tons of ideas on At Studio D blog for all things Christmas. Here is the sight At Studio D well as there is a button/badge on the sidebar.
Another site is Clear Scraps and it is also on the sidebar.  I pretty much pin ideas that I find unique and clever to do myself.  Here is my pinterest address: Beverly Jordan on Pinterest
am also on Facebook and share many ideas there. Find me under Beverly Jordan in Orlando, FL.
So now you know how to connect with all the inspiration I do so that you don't end up bored and in a funk, so to speak! Enjoy! And let me know of your finds as well.

Christmas Cards with Hampton Art stamps

Been working on Christmas cards using the Hampton Art Santa Stops Here stamps they sent to me, with one of the Clear Scraps juicy green ink pads. I did use flowers, papers and ribbon from my stash, too. One is done in traditional colors and the others is not. Enjoying the holiday season!

Having a day out at Webster's Flea Market

John, had Veteran's Day off so we decided to go out to Webster's Flea Market, which is a very long drive away!! We really enjoyed it though, and bought a ton of fruit and vegies to bring home!! We also found these very frilly orchids and because I just couldn't decide which one, I bought all three! These are fragrant ones, and so beautiful!!! We mostly walked around, tasting homemade treats, and enjoying all the odd things we saw.  And guess who I ran into? My sister, Melody, who had driven all the way from south Florida, just for the day of shopping!! Wow!! We shopped together, and caught up more than we normally do on the phone! What a fun day!!
Here's what we bought:  Yes, those delicious radishes, cauliflower, beefstake tomatoes, in the photos, as well as, red grapefruit, and navels, squash, avocados, apples, onions, green bell peppers, and scallions.  Also, a new dog collar that has a bandana on it, and homemade turkey and stuffing  dog biscuits, all for Ellie.  For my daughter, I bought, a vintage french scarf, bicycle lights for the front and back inwhich she insisted on using that very night! You know, it's the little things that make us happy!!

The Barn in Lake Alfred, Florida

I love going to Lake Alfred with girlfriends! Today was one of those days!! A group of new friends from my church, and I, drove out to Lake Alfred, which is about 30 miles away, to visit The Barn and Season Shop, and Stable Decor.  It basically is 3 stores, a restaurant, and garden center, full of fun things!  The antiques are from England and France, and the decor shop is just that exactly, as well as Brighton and other jewelry.  I love the Season's Shop the most because of their beautiful decorations for the upcoming holidays.  They had several ideas of using burlap, plain and stamped but my purchase was 2 spools of their 12 inch wide mesh.  It can be seen used in red on the white hutch, in the 3rd photo, from the top.  So sorry my pics were blurry!!! :(
I purchased the mesh in green with tinsel, as well as a green and red stripe. Can't wait till after Thanksgiving to start decorating for Christmas!! :)
Hope you too are enjoying this wonderful cool fall weather like we are having here in Florida!!
Enjoy,
Beverly

Homecoming 2012 Outfit

I had so much fun shopping with Kelsey this year for her homecoming dress and outfit! God truely blessed us and we found the dress, shoes, and earrings in the first hours we were out, and it was the first shopping trip in a long time!!!
The dress has small chiffon rosettes, and feathers at the lower border, and is made of exquisite lace.  The shoes are two tone, with champaign beige in the front and black on the heel and ankle strap.  It really fits Kelsey's personality too!!

Summer Highlights Collage!

Here are summer highlights! Enjoy the show!
So many memories, and so little time! I was busy working in an office all summer, but that didn't stop me from taking a few short vacations, and cooking up a storm of deserts!
See my previous post for the recipe of this delicious torte which I made several times!!  Kelsey was busy as ever, herself, and she got her driver's license, campaigned, and went to 3 camps! WOw!
Other wonderful milestones:  John and I celebrated our 32nd Anniversary!! And we all drove up to see my 2nd oldest son, to celebrate his 21st birthday!!!
God has truely blessed us!!

"A Cup of Tea" Card

For this card I added textured flowers, by twisting small pieces of crepe paper into roses. Used green grossgrain ribbon for the leaves, and loved this vintage seam binding lace for the ribbon and bow.  This is The Cat's Pajamas Swanky Stamps:  Toni's Tea Set, colored with Marvy Le Plume markers, #P796,P786, E865, OY841, and stamped with Momento Black. The image is popdotted as well. Paper is Prima Patterned, and Bazzell textured cardstock in Pink and celery.  Pearls are cut from Want2Scrap leftovers.  All this was in my unused stash, and I thought it was too pretty to not just have a morning of playing around with it.

"Lucky Dog" Puppy Album!

Well, this is an album I have made of our beloved doggie when she was just a pup! Hope you enjoy it!! Sometimes, it is important to look back at very special memories when you seem to be overwhelmed with all the changes, and remember, that "change" always brings good things.  Sometimes, it can be a puppy (after the death of another very special doggie), and sometimes it is just the passing of time that brings different changes.  Sorry I am very melodramatic today. Enjoy!
