Pinkfresh Floral cover Die Cards

Using different specialty papers I used the Pinkfresh Fancy Floral 1 and 3 Cover dies. Using the Sentiment from the Pinkfresh Bloom set, I heat embossed onto black cardstock, and added it to the cards.
Using the Pinkfresh Geo Floral die with American Crafts ZING Copper Embossing powder as seen with WOW's product HERE I cut out the die from white cardstock, covered it with VersaMark ink and embossing powder. Then heat embossed. Next, I stamped with the Pinkfresh Bloom larger flower image onto light pink cardstock and followed the same steps and die cut it with matching die. I loved following the design from the previous blog post inspiration and used a seam binding bow to finish mine off.

Frilly and Funkie Guest Post: Valentine Mini Album

Hey guys! Beverly here, and I want to share that I have been honored to be a Guest Designer for this brand new challenge at Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog...I want to say A big 'thank you' to the Design Team for this chance!

Here is the post to add your own challenge!

Here's a little bit about me:
I have been crafting since I was a child, and am an avid scrapbooker, card maker, and love to make mini albums for gifts. I love scoping out antique markets, creating 100+ Christmas cards 10 months ahead of time and baking delicious original desserts for my family while practicing as a Dental Hygienist these past many years.

I created a Valentine Mini Album using a 3D Die by Spellbinders. The die was designed for a 3D card but thought it would be perfect to use for this project  which is a Valentines Mini Album. By using the die cut frame and only attaching it to one side spine, I was able to make a vintage, shabby chic, album. Am planning on adding photos of my hubby and I, and giving it as a gift to him!  Being a ribbon addict doesn't help, so I added several different textures and colors.

Instructions:
Using the Platinum 6 die cutting machine with the Spellbinders Grand Cabinet die, die cut 10 frames from black cardstock. Basically, 5 sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" is enough to make 10 frames with left overs to cut one spine and one spine cover, plus flip pages. I chose the 6 background papers and die cut them using only the outside part of the die. Using my Ranger Fine Tip applicator makes it a breeze to adhere the frames and backgrounds all together. I am calling the "frame" the flourished piece and the backgrounds the pattern papers. There are 6 pages total, and 4 of the pages have 3 layers (frame + pattern paper + frame) of papers, while the other two have 2 layers (frame + pattern paper). After adhering all the pieces, I began to assemble. To assemble, I started at the back page of the album. First, cut all the "tabs" off that "page". Set aside. Find the piece cut for the spine which has small slits in it. Place Scor-tape on both folds of the spine. (see pic below to explain). Remove just the back Scor-tape and adhere the back "page" that will be the back cover. Make sure that that is completely adhered before going on. Each page's tabs were fit into the corresponding slot on the spine making sure it was inserted and then pulled downward till it fit snugly. This secures them and ensures that they fit before adding another page. Continue this going from the back to the front. All the tabs on the right sides of each page will not be used and can be cut away. To adhere the front cover which is the last layer, remove all of its tabs. Using the same 1/8" Scor-tape, adhere the front cover as the last step.
If everything looks lined up, adhere the Spine cover plate cut from the black cardstock to cover the the tabs using Ranger Wonder Tape. I couldn't find my sheet so used my 1/2" size and made 3 rows to cover it. This leaves a clean look to the album and ensures the pages don't come loose. Embellished it with many pieces of twine, and ribbon, and small pieces from the Authentique Paper Card kit I've had.
I also made flip pages so as to be able to add more photos.
