Happy 23rd Birthday Julie Nutting Card

Am way ahead of someone's birthday, but the gift has already been given and am going to send this on to her anyway!!! LOVE lavishing gifts and especially since she is making kind of expensive purchases. Well anyway, am so excited that this is @KathyRac's month of #thedailymarker30day challenge and I am posting every day on my Instagram account. Go here under @jordanbev5 and please follow me. If you aren't on yet...I highly recommend that you get an IG account of your own due to the flood of inspiration at your fingertips and so much faster to post and read and even watch short videos!! But please make sure to tell me YOUR account so I can follow you and see your pictures too!
The background paper is in black and white with words for Birthday cheer, like Hip Hip Hooray and Happy Birthday from Echo Park's Party Time in a 6x6 pad. The bottom sheet of multicolored candles is also from the same. The beautiful frilly frame is designed by Becca Feeken from Amazing Paper Grace's Chantilly Paper Lace Collection called Tallulah Frill from Spellbinders. Isn't it so pretty!!! I die cut it out of Lemon Yellow Bazzill Cardstock with my Platinum 6 machine. I hand cut the papers to size and then began arranging all the pieces. To help the numbers stand out, I die cut an oval from Spellbinders Pierced Ovals in the smallest size and then added the "23" from Thickers red foil set.
The little girl is from Prima Marketing Inc, Julie Nutting stamp set appropriately called, Party Girl! I colored her with Sketch Copic Markers: R00, R20, R22, E000, E21, YR24, YR31, Y17, Y21. I fussy cut her out and added dimensional glue to the back to pop her up. The oval was also popped up as well. I still needed something more and grabbed some May Arts silk ribbon in lemon yellow. LOVE ribbons and have this in two shades of yellow!!! I really love seam binding and silk to add a soft billowy bow to a card don't you?
A sentiment was added inside to finish it off and viola', a beautiful girly card to send out! I must say, I think I send her all Julie Nutting dolls for her birthdays because it seems so appropriate! The frillier the better too!!

Concord & 9th Company Happy 4th Card

I created this card for a challenge for a card I had already wanted to make so it sounded like a Win Win. Here's the site:  Marker Pop Challenge on Facebook
Using Concord & 9th Happy Day stamp set, I Copic colored the cake as if it were a Red Velvet cake with blue bonnet flowers, and small white flowers. I played the game with the inspiration photo and made the banners with fabric ribbon that has sticky on the back. I took the red cord and crisscrossed it across.
The papers are Authentique Papers Honor collection. The red sparkly paper is Doodlebug papers.

On the coloring, I not only used Copics, I added white acrylic paint to add dots to the flower centers, plate and the small flowers at the top. Also, Smooch in White paint was used for all the icing to show a distinct difference.  The "cake" was colored with R24, R27, R29 and then used alcohol smooched with a terry cloth. The flowers were colored with Copic Sketch in B28, B26,B24, B21 markers.
The red dots beside the sentiment are Nuvo Crystal Red Berry drops.

Aall & Create Feather Card 2

Had to use that Aall & Create Stamp set #11 one more time for the #thedailymarker30day coloring challenge for Day 13. And then I turned it into a little notebook using the Webster's Pages polka dot personal notebook after splashing some Gansai yellow gold onto the violet colors. The background was done with blending the Ranger Ink Distress Oxides in Blueprint and Lemonade until I liked the shading. Super black ink was achieved with Tsukinedo Memento Tuxedo Black ink, of course since I used my Copics in BV00, BV02, BV04. Distress Micro Glaze was added to ensure no damage to the piece because it will be in use and may get wet. I then spread a splatter of ZIG Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors in yellow gold ink over the top to add shine. The outside die cut was Reverse Confetti's Lacey Scallop Frame Die with a deep color that matched the Blueprint ink. My Platinum 6 was used so as to make it slightly smaller in width to fit the front nicely.
After gluing all the layers onto the notebook, I decided to add some soft black seam binding adding Gansai gold since it was still on my desk.  Hope you enjoy my inspiration today!

Aall and Create #11 Card

#thedailymarker30day @kathyrac hosting this is so fun and I am loving discovering great images like this one by Aall and Create called #11. Designed by Fiona Paltridge. (the image is no longer available at Simon Says Stamp but others are here.) I used my Copic Sketch markers: B0000, B11, B23, R20, R24, R29 after stamping with Memento Tuxedo black ink on my Misti. I blended with Ranger Mermaid Lagoon, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides on the background. After making it into a card with yellow Bazzill cardstock, I then added Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops in Red Berry, and Ebony Black, even added it to the image like the heart and some of the stripes. I wanted it to add some dimension and interest. This is so fun to color!!!

Pretty Pink Posh Camp Friends Card

I used Pretty Pink Posh Camping Friends stamp set to make this adorable card for #thedailymarker30day For this card, I started with stamping all the images with my Misti and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored all of them with Copic Sketch Markers: YR04, YR06, E21, E33, W1, W3. After fussy cutting all the images out, I went around all the edges with a Copic 100 black pen so as no white paper edge showed. The background panel was made by blending with Ranger Distress Oxides for the with Blueprint, Squeezed Lemonade, Evergreen Bough, and Aged Mahogany. I arranged all the images and glued them down with Tombow MONO liquid adhesive and used foam tabs to make some of them look 3D. Next, I stamped a pattern of 2 different sets of the stars over the background panel with VersaMark ink and then added Hero Arts Silver embossing powder and used my heat gun. I fussy cut the moon and adhered it to a scrap piece of paper and using the same process again, I embossed it with the silver powder. It really looks stunning in real life.

Atlenew Balloon Card

Using Altenew Baby Balloon stamp and die set, I chose to play along with the Color Throwdown and make a card to send to my son!
I first stamped the balloon outline with my Misti tool. After the stamping, I shaded with my Copic markers to add depth. Colors used: R29, R39, B99, YR21, YR31, C1. Using my Platinum 6, I die cut the balloon out, as well as the Fine Circles die and Miss You die. I played with all the images until I was satisfied with the way they all lined up!! Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops in English Mustard and Blue were added for interest.
Hope you enjoy it!

House Mouse Eat Your Cake and Nap too, Card

Using a Stampendous House Mouse favorite, Eat your Cake and Nap too, I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored it with my Copic markers.  Copics used for this piece are: E00, E21, E33, E53, YR24, Y11, Y19, BG10, BG11, BG13.R20, R22, R24, C1, C3. I matched up the Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian Confectionery papers. I wanted a "lacy" look so chose Spellbinders Chantilly Paper Lace dies: Tallulah Frill Frame, and Anabelle's Trousseau Corner. These look well together I thought. The piece that the House Mouse is stamped on is Neenah 80 lb. cardstock and die cut with Spellbinders Pierced Ovals and mounted with foam tape. The two cardstocks used are Die Cuts with a view Robin #3 which the card is made from, and Bassill light yellow in linen for the die cut pieces. I used my Platinum 6 to that.
I am playing along with Kathy Racoosin's 10th "the Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge, and this is Day 1 for me even though this is the second day.

Quick card from scraps

Back at Mother's Day, I was in a rush to get my girlfriend a card and made this fast one from the scraps that lay on my table. I think I loved how quick and feminine it came out and she loved it! Fun to play with what is right in front of you and just be creative! Hope you enjoy the inspiration!
Supplies: Kaisercraft rose sticker, SEI line paper; Cricut Swiss dots embossing folder with Platinum 6 die cutting machine to emboss and die cut; Happy Mother's Day die (?); Heart Flourish die from Cheery Lynn; and Tombow liquid adhesive to adhere everything.
