Yet more House Mouse cards but this time with the Reindeer Mice! I am so glad that I got these after Stampendous shut!! Thank you to Bunny Hoyle and Lols Aqualina from House Mouse Challenges last year for choosing my card last year before these sold out everywhere!! Have been coloring up a storm and so sorry for being redundant with showing them off. I had started after stamping 37 of all 3 of the images and then really focused on stamping more of the 2. This Reindeer Mice and Mint Swing. When January comes around, I will start next years Christmas cards because I don't like to rush! LOL!!

Scraptique Oktoberfest Layout

 

With Thankful Hearts Layout

 This is my Thanksgiving layout for 2023 where we were all together. These are very old Bo Bunny papers from the Beautiful Life collection and the Bo Bunny Thankful Hearts stickers that I fussy cut to match the papers from a different line. The flowers are old Mulberry ones probably from Petaloo. and the vintage buttons are treasures I finally have used on a page. Probably from the 60's. Enjoy!!

Explore the Daytona Beach Post Office

A Becky Fleck Double Page layout sketch

I used the above sketch to make this layout of the Daytona Beach U.S. Post Office built in 1932 as a Depression-era work project. The two-story structure was built in Mediterranean revival style, featuring stone from the Florida Keys, arched windows, and cast-iron ornamentation. The building still functions as a post office, and was listed with the National Register of Historic Places on June 30, 1988. 

I found that these papers are in my stash that are old CTMH. The gold is not that yellow and matches the post office boxes that were shiny gold. The stamp images were in my travel stash, and the tags too. Love how it all came together. The strange colors of the papers really matched the Key Stone that the building is made from. I used more pics than it was called for but had to show off this special place. Enjoy!

Silver Christmas Lantern

                                                      

I found that I am in need of a homemade Christmas Ornament for an exchange and though I wanted a wooden sleigh, I found this lovely raw wood lantern that had a battery powered tea lamp inside of it. I painted the outside with Tim Holtz Gold Distress Dauber Paint and then used a small paint brush to finish the edges. Once dry, the dry "snow" from Dollar Tress was added with white glue on the bottom ledge. The green sprig was twisted around the top and then cut with a wire cutter. I tied the silver glitz ribbon as a bow at the top. The more "snow" was added on the top. The Prima pink poinsettias were added at the bottom to finish it off. Enjoy!

Echo Park Crafting Happy Moments Layout

 Using Echo Park, I'd rather be Crafting collection, I designed this layout. Using my Cricut Design space, I made the die cuts which were already in my ownership and cut them to match the papers' colors. The heart shape on the left page, is cut from the background paper and then turned upside down to fill the exact hole. The titles are made to fit so that the 3 pics on the left page encircle it. Turquoise cardstock was used to mat all of these elements and then cut down to 20x10 and then layered onto of the brown background paper. Before laying that down, I cut the center panel out and used it on the right page and cut additional titles and scrollwork to go there. I needed something more and so I found a turquoise polka dot paper, that I made a border from and layered Scrapbook twill ribbon onto. To make it easier to attach the words and layers I ran each through my Xyron machines including the ribbon. I left them attached to the backing and took it all to a crop recently, and was able to put it all together at once. Using the Xyron, ensured that I didn't loose any pieces as well.

This is one of the pictures of my daughter driving cross country to visit her grandmother who lives in two cities. She is 98 years old now and this was one of the times. It is a special bond.

Another House Mouse Z fold Christmas card

Using more of scrapbook supplies to make more of the needed Christmas cards for this year. The Reindeer Mice for this one. The Creek Bank Creations Merry Christmas die for the sentiment and 12x12 papers now for the pattern papers. Hoping I will use up some of it with all of these wonderful cards!! The base is a glitter cardstock and really is quite beautiful in person! Enjoy!!

House Mouse Buffalo Bills Football Card

 

Using a this Game Day House Mouse stamp again was on my list due to making a card for one of my old friends that loves the Buffalo Bills and is having a birthday soon. I stamped the image with my MISTI, and again used Janelle Stollfus' card as my inspiration. I didn't use all of her colors but similar ones. The Celebrate is a Waffle Flower die using the blue paper. The symbol was copied from the internet onto photo paper and fussy cut out and popped up to add dimension. Hope you are having a fabulous fall!

House Mouse Christmas fold card

 

Using the House Mouse Mint Swing stamp, I stamped with Picket Fence Hybrid black ink and my MISTI and made several images. I colored with copic markers: E00,E21,E33,E53;and Prisma Colored pencils:908,909,922,924,946,1084. I then cut the images down and made a Double Z fold card using Karen Aicken's video. I used Bazzill cardstocks in Red Card Shop, and Carta Bella 6x6 pad of "Christmas Wonderland" (beautiful vintage style from 2015) papers mixing and matching. Using my We R Memories small scoreboard and Fiskars 12" trimmer to cut and score the lines of every paper, it came together nicely. The "Merry Christmas" is a Sizzix die that I used with all of my left over cardstock from the cards. I am able to do most of this while recouping from my foot surgery in a reclined position. Amazing how clever we get!! I hope you enjoy my early Christmas card and now I'm 3 cards more in my Christmas Card stash!!

Family Fun Layout

 Using older Reminisce Papers, I fussy cut and put these 2006 pics on a page!! Love that I found them and now they are scrapped!! The fun Sunshine circle and the "Family" chipboard are from MAMBI, an older scrapbooking business. I started this that year and found it and put it together! So happy to remember these happy summer days of long ago.
