Graphic 45 Imagine the treasure inside Layout

Fussy cutting with scissors and EK Success craft knife, I used two sheets of the Graphic 45 Imagine paper. It became so addictive that I decided I just had to use it with these extra pics from our trip in 2017. Several layers of the cuttings were backed with 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" pop adhesive squares from 3L Scrapbook Adhesives. The cut butterfly is layered to be the tallest, and the flowers and blue ribbons even lower. Also, the large center was filled in with black cardstock, and the title was repositioned back in the place it was originally. Fussy cutting gets so addictive for me. I also added Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink with a blender on the edges to add some shading.
To complete the layout, I added Graphic 45 Enchanted note card due to the portrait direction and did my hidden journaling, "the treasure inside" bit, managing to tuck it directly behind the photo, and allow it to be pulled out to read. The seam binding was dyed to a blue to match the layout, and then artistically draped across the page so as to make it look naturally cascading around all of the elements. This added texture to all of the dimensions. Hope you enjoy it.

Dusty Attic Fancy Frames Budapest Layout

I really centered this layout around the gorgeous goodies from Dusty Attic in Australia. These included Fancy Frames #5; Wordpl@y #2 in black; and Memories title. I painted with Liquitex clear Gesso, and then with Plaid FolkArt in Gold. Wish I could get their Gesso but couldn't find it at my local store. Shucks!!!! Also used Canvas Corp Tattered Angels Turquoise Spray in Dragonfly for the Memories piece. Was the perfect shade!

Photo Details: These beautiful pictures are of the fabulous streets in Budapest that we walked all in one day/morning. The Gabor statue on the left page is one of their heroes that was a linguist. Beautiful work throughout the city but this is just some of them! The right page has St.Stephen's Cathedral, and other statues. It was a cold December morning with a clear blue sky! Great fun and walk!

Here's how I made this:
Using an EK Success retractable blade, I cut out the corset from the Bo Bunny Somewhere in Time Chrononaut paper. I used 2 of these sheets and saved the 2nd corset for another layout. ;)
After adhering a scrap of cardstock where I had removed it, I then used pop ups to add the dimension. Before placing it down, I added Ranger Gold Glitter stickles along the black lines. I also used liquid glue to adhere the string of pearls to the bottom. Also, tucked a piece of lace under the bottom edge as well. What fun is this gorgeous piece of paper!!!! Used Bo Bunny Memento from the same collection and a sticker as well.
I used scraps of a Bazzill Cardstock in two shades of green turquoise and black to mat the pics using my 12" trimmer.
I arranged all of the items until I liked it, and then started putting the tag together. Loved playing with the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Game Spinners as well the clock faces. What fun!
I glued all down with Beacons 3 in 1 and it won't be moving.

Bo Bunny Winter Wishes Winter layout of Passau, Germany

I just loved the color match of the photos with the Bo Bunny Winter Wishes collection. These papers have white on white with more Grays and Beige. The patterns themselves are so beautiful,  This layout is of St.Stephen's Church in Passau, Germany which we toured with a guide in on our recent trip with the Romantic Danube Viking River Cruise.
Details of the layout: First, I printed the photos smaller in order to fit so many of them on my double page layout. 7 printed at 3"x 5" and then one wallet size.
The background papers are 2 pieces of Winter Wishes named "Very Limited". I really wanted to showcase the designs so I added the Ranger Crystal Stickles and Glossy Accents to the elements in the print, and let dry for 24 hours. More details of that to follow.
With the photos, I matted them using the Bo Bunny Winter Wishes Flurries pattern paper with a 1/8th inch border. Arrangement was tricking due to me not wanting to loose one aspect of this gorgeous Church and its magnificent organs.
Next I pulled out the Layered chipboard embellishments:
And chose the key hole piece and added Ranger Glossy Accents in the key hole for a glossy 3D look. There is a close up on the third picture from the top.
To add the last wallet size photo, I worked with the design of the paper and used my EK Success Retractable Craft Knife to cut out the clothes pin at the left bottom of the page. After matting the photo, I slipped it into place and added more Ranger Glossy Accents to the clothespin to make it look more 3D, as well as the "brad" seen on the papers. This is the sheet itself of Bo Bunny Winter Wishes Very Limited pattern paper.
Using my Cricut Explore and the Cricut Cartridge called Blackletter paired with my computer font called Old English. I cut it out with a Charcoal Grey shiny cardstock from the UK. Using Contact sticky paper from the Dollar Tree, I "lifted" the titles from the mat AFTER "weeding" each. I then placed it as I wanted on the layout using EK Success 2 way glue. I like to use the Cricut Tools like the sickle weeder to press down each letter. Doing each title may be easier to do with tweezers but I like it to be straight as when it comes off the Cricut Mat so that's why I do it that way. Also, if you wanted to use Vinyl it would come up onto the Contact Paper easier as well. The color of the paper was the reason I used this particular one.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing this old church with our tour guide pointing out all the different elements. This organ is the largest in Europe with 17,000 pipes!! Unfortunately, we were there in the dead of winter and due to moisture it is not played until May-October. The church dates from 600-1600's and we walked around the outside, we were able to see the huge double doors made of iron with 4 hands in the garden/fountain area. That photo can be seen on my other layout called Ancient Doors. Passau is a very fun city, made of old architecture like this masterpiece and a newer University and a modern multi-storied mall! One of my favorite places with so much to see and do!! There are more layouts to come.

Charleston Road Trip Basic Grey layout

I really enjoyed our road trip to Charleston, SC July 2017!! Getting all my pictures scrapbooked was impossible so I combined all the pictures on one double page layout. I love it with I get inspired from someone's page kit and then turn it into my version of their sketch!! This is old Basic Grey Curio kit from 2010, I found in my stash which I matched up with Prima Marketing flowers, and Say it with Crystals black bling in swirls and lines. These photos are some of the streets through the old town of Charleston which we totally enjoyed seeing!!
Here are two other pictures I posted on Instagram of the fun things we found in that great old city!!
Cotton Wreath Picture
Ribs at Swig N Swine BBQ

The photo of the two of us, was taken against a brick wall after I realized I had not taken any of our trip together, just before leaving!! My daughter was there earlier and she had already left so none of her as well!! Well, maybe next time!

The directions: I chose two basic background papers so as to add to the old vintage street photos, and cut them down as to have a 5x7 matted photo and city name below.
Before I start any page, I work out the layout the way I think it will go, and loosely base all my cuts on that idea. I use Pinterest, Sketches, and ideas to inspire them as I did this one. I will give you measurements of how I did mine but feel free to change anything!

The pink background papers were cut to be 9"x 11 1/2". I inked these with Distress Ink in Walnut brown before gluing them on the papers.  I placed each pink sheet 1 1/2" from the top and bottom with sides of each abutting each other respectfully as seen in first picture above. I inked all the following papers with the same ink before placing them on the layout.
I then added a border at the top and bottom from fussy cutting 3 lace borders from one of the sheets of paper. I matched the two at the top and abuted them to the top of the pink background paper as seen. For the lower lace border I shifted it to the left side and then glued it down and cut through the part that connected the two 12x12 sheets for my double layout.
Next came the arrangement of photos. I chose to make our selfie 5x7, and the others wallet size, and 3.5x5". I matted each with papers from the collection with a 1/4" border, inked and glued in place. Using the Basic Grey Curio "Take Note" package of transparencies I chose the two I used and glued them in place. Using the Alpha Sticker sheet, I chose Happy Times, and added the letters to the center of the top left page. Using a ruler, I lined up the black bling on either side of that title. I then added 3 brads in maroon to the bottom right on the transparency. I used a hole punch since I had difficulty pushing them through. For the second page I chose the black swirl bling, and placed it down being careful to leave room for the 3 flowers I had chosen that matched the photos and layout colors. I had already matted all photos and left room just for this space for the bling and flowers. That makes it so much easier. After everything was glued downed, I tried to write my notes but the pen I had at the crop, started to smear so I stopped. I'll do it later!!

Supplies: Basic Grey Curio: 2 sheets of Cotton, Rose Water, Gonach, Linen, Cabriole pattern papers. Curio Alpha Sticker Sheet; Curio Take Notes Transparency kit; Indian Summer brads. Scotch Tape Runner. Glue Dots for flowers. Prima Marketing flowers from my stash. Prima Marketing Say it with crystals in black, and lines; Ranger Ink Distressing Ink in Walnut with blending tool; Ruler; Hole punch and  Scissors.Walgreen photo developing of wallet size photos by doing them in Collage setting of 4x6 to make them the perfect size I needed.

Bo Bunny Bella Rosa Budapest Layout

This layout is to commemorate the execution of individuals in Budapest, Hungary in 1944-45. The memorial is along the Danube River near the Parliament Building. Quite moving in person and thought that the layout showcases those iron shoes that have a great reminder as not to forget what has gone before and to never repeat it. Thanks for looking!! Also, I am on Scrapbook.com and used their sketch "loosely" as well.

Supplies:
Tim Holtz gauze ruffle trim; Rhinestone trim in copper; Bo Bunny Bella Rosa papers Athena and Reflection; Red/Burgundy velveteen paper cardstock; Prima Marketing flower blossoms: Tales of you and me, and Artistry Flowers which are both very old; Fiskars trimmer and scissors; EK Success 2 in 1 glue; Glue Dots; Red tape; Cricut Explore used with Black Letter cartridge for the title work; Charcoal grey satin cardstock.

Directions: The focal photo is 5x7 and the other pics are 3.5x5 inches. I mounted them on the Velveteen cardstock which I used due the color match to the iron shoes in the pictures. I then arranged these along the horizontal line that matched the sketch. Using Red line glue tape, I taped it to the paper. I then adhered the Tim Holtz white gauze Ideology trimmings. Adding more Red Tape to the center of the gauze, I added 2 lines of rhinestone trim which I cut to the size I needed. Eventually, I cut right down the center of the middle photo with my Fiskars 12 inch trimmer. I then arranged the many Prima blossoms in order to use a variety in opposite corners on the layout. I tried to use Glue Dots to get a cut rhinestone to stick to the top of some of the brads on the flowers but they didn't all stick. Oh well. Next, using my Cricut Explore in Design Studio with Black Letter Cartridge, I cut the titles "Never Forget" and "Budapest" which were lifted with contact paper and glued down using EK Success blue chisel 2 in 1 glue. Just a trick I do to keep the letters straight. It does take a long time due to the contact paper not adhering as well to paper as vinyl. I added a small journal card and was finished. Hope you enjoy to layout!!

Go Rome Go Layout

I LOVE how this layout came out!! The papers are from scraps leftover from my stash. There is a bit of gold washi tape between the black and white paper and the pic's. Do you notice in the last pic above. Also, the stamps are Boys will be boys #659091 Doodlebug clear stamps & Sizzix dies motorcycle car. The title is made with my Cricut Explore using the Plantin Schoolbook. The "GO's" are in bold, and the "Rome" is regular and layered with the black and gold. Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam squares was used undr the vehicles as well as the gray strip at the top of the pages. Also, those 3 circle emblessments on the top right page are from IOD from 2004!! Finally scrapping this page and using those!!
Travel Info: On this pedestal in Rome the traffic cops have worked here since 1898 and have taken a severe beating in recent years, with increasing amounts of traffic buzzing around. With their distinctive white gloves, helmet, whistles, and pantomime performances, traffic cops at this focal point in Rome's historic centre have become something of a tourist attraction, as well as a part of the landscape in many movies set in Rome (such as Roman Holiday!) This piazza is located at the foot of the Capitoline Hill in central Rome, Italy and at the end of the Via del Corso. It is dominated by two landmarks, Palazzo Venezia, the building that gave the square its name (Benito Mussolini used the building as his headquarter and addressed the people from the palace's balcony. It is now home to the Museo del Palazzo Venezia). The large white building in the background is the imposing monument dedicated to Italy's first king, Victor Emanuele II monument (known to some as the giant white typewriter or wedding cake).

Basic Grey Origins Double Layout-Ziplining in Central Florida

This was a wonderful double layout I made of pictures from years ago. We spent our Christmas money from a family member to go on this expedition of ziplining in the Central Florida Area. I highly recommend this family fun! We swung through the pine forest outside all the Disney and tourist area. Pretty weather during the Florida Christmas holidays! Hope you enjoy the pictures! Also, I had so many pics that I made a mini album that attaches to the second page. By the way, I made 6 layouts total!! I wanted to put these in my daughter's and son's albums and have one for myself.
Here are list of some of the supplies: May Arts Vine ribbon and 1/8'" green. Basic Grey Origin papers and various other Basic Grey papers and cardstocks are from Bazzill to match. over 20 sheets of BG and cardstocks were used! I really raided my stash for sure!
The Cricut cuts were done on my Cricut Explore or my friends when we were crafting together. I used the following cartridges: Monkeys: Noah's ABC animals; Trees: My Community
Place:

Forever Florida Ziplines & Adventures in the Wild - St. Cloud, FL

DCWV Linen and Lace Layout

I loved these photos of my daughter and they match perfectly with DCWV's Linen and Lace papers. Love the serenity and dreamy feel of the layout.
To make the layout, I cut apart the preset paper layout, and expanded the width to use 4x6 size of the photos. Added the paper with the stitched seams as the original piece had showed. Added a handmade flower from Maya Road scallop ribbon, gray burlap, and pearls. Added lace butterflies as well. The Dream metal word is an oldie but goodie, from the company Making Memories. All the last items have been in my scraproom for years. If you enjoy what you see I hope you will leave me a comment!!
These pics are at the Ringling Brothers Museum Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. They are open with free admission on Wednesday.
