Newton's Nook Cuppa Cactus Card

I just love the perfect cup of coffee from the adorable Newton's Cuppa Cactus which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo black using my MISTI tool. I wanted this to have more dimension so I used Strathmore Artist Papers in their Illustration Board to do just that. It has a thick base but you must be careful coloring with Copic Markers which can be absorbed and colors run more easily. May Arts twine in natural color was then wrapped three times around the navy cardstock base, and tied with a double bow and then Nuvo Crystal Drops in English Mustard added for that extra texture as well.
Copic  .Markers included: YG63, YG67, YG21, R39, R29, Y13, Y17, B21, B28, B18.

  6. Oh how pretty it is! Love the cute cacti and the background layers you put in. I also love how you matched yellow and cobalt blue in your pot and papers. So pretty!! You know , I love natural twine so much and you've used it in a perfect way. Those yellow dots just added more cuteness. Well done with lots of fun details to look at.
