Bird Paradise Layout

Challenge Sketch

    With the sketch provided, I started assembling the layout and choosing the colors best suited for the dark, indoor photos. Because I didn't have appropriate items in my stash, I ended up die cutting a ton which took longer, especially to see what colors worked best. While I was out to get cardstock at Joann's, I found this parrot patch in their sewing section. Though the colors are right, I liked the pretty accent it brings to the page. Hope you enjoy my layout.
    These beautiful birds are from the Theater of the Sea in Islamorada, Fl, in the Florida Keys. They preformed different things from counting, adding and such. I was impressed! Smart AND beautiful!

Papers: Recollections (background paper); Bright Yellow; Orange-Red Bazzill cardstock; Green Vellum;
Flowers: Die cuts: 2 different Hibiscus sets; Ranger Tim Holtz fern dies; Prima Marketing small red and Petaloo ferns.
Circles were die cut from various Spellbinders Dies using a Platinum 6.
Alphas: Die cut from Altenew Simple Alphabet die; Making Memories cardboard letters (inked with Festive Berries Distress Oxide and heat embossed with WOW Thick Clear EP)
Sequin Bird from Joanns sewing section.
