Authetique Frontier Album Gift

"Together we have it all"

Am an avid Authentique Papers fan and loved these papers when I saw them, called Frontier. I immediately thought of my beloved Mother in Law who grew up in Crowell, Texas on a cotton farm where they grew all types of vegetables as well. Her and her TWIN sister are 93 years old and am so excited to make this for them! I thought that they would enjoy adding their childhood photo as well as pics from over the years. She was so excited when I gave it to her at Thanksgiving for her early Christmas present!!! I had packaged it for her as a surprise inside a beautiful mirrored jewelry box.
The photo on the front is when we traveled to see her in May and had taken the two out to Olive Garden. Don't you love how that rock wall behind them fit perfectly with the rustic theme? You can even see my blonde hair on the left in the pic. LOL!! Also, these ladies are so healthy that they spend time flying back and forth to each other's homes in different states. Thanksgiving and Christmas is the only times that they aren't together as to spend it with their families. Isn't that sweet???

Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian Layout

I love this colorful collection that screams yummy desserts by Graphic 45 called Cafe Parisian!  I decided to blow up the pictures of these yummy homemade donuts we had at a cafe in Prague one cold and windy night. Our drink was made by melting chocolate and adding cream!! Yes, that hot yumminess with these delicious homemade donuts!! It screamed, scrapbook layout!! So I obliged. It was the day we had landed after a long flight and walked all over the city to find ourselves just off the main drag from Charles Bridge in the Old Town. Great find and highly recommended plus they were still open after 8 PM though not as many to chose from at that time of day. Everything was so romantic and even a bit poetic to finish our first day of the trip. See the heart in the foam! So sweet of her!
To recreate this layout is quite easy:
3 sheet of Graphic 45 Cafe Parisian: Bon Appetit, Creme' de la Creme', and Cafe' Parisian. Cut strips off the right side of Cafe' Parisian and the squares. Use on the Bon Appetit as the background paper for the right page. Cut squares apart and fussy cut the centers with the desserts out. Then using 3D foam adhesive, pop up onto the "pink squares". I also popped those up so double popped!! This is the right page in the double layout.

For the left page: Using Cafe' Parisian paper, I fussy cut out almost the whole scene with the umbrella and waitress. The once done, I positioned my 5x7 pic where I wanted and used more of the strips from previously and added at both sides of the photo so as to ground it. I then added a vintage doily my girlfriend had given me from a collection of different sizes and this one seemed to mimic the tablecloth in the photo. Viola'! A simple and fun layout to add to my album of my trip! I don't want to miss remembering this wonderful night and all of the fun we had. Enjoy!

Frilly Fall Thanksgiving Card

Am so thankful for this upcoming Thanksgiving when I will see my three adult children all together. But realistically, God has truly blessed me and am so thankful for His presence and love!

Inside Message: Wishing you a fabulous Thanksgiving!
Using Echo Park The Story of Fall quote, I built this card around it.  I started with Neenah cardstock, and dry embossed it with Tim Holtz 3D Alteration folder. I blended the top with Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs and Distress Ink Walnut Stain. I then added torn "book" paper with more walnut ink applied and glued to the background as well.
Other supplies included medium brown seam binding, Spellbinders stitched ovals and floral oval dies, bleached burlap, Fiskars 12 inch trimmer, scissors, Platinum 6 die cutting machine, Tool N One, brown cardstock and flowers and bling by Prima Marketing.
