Spring Violets

Hello, this is Beverly here to share my Sympathy card using Kenndy Grace Creations Grace's Little Note.

Since Spring has arrived, I felt my card needed more of a bright feel to it so I colored the flowers as Aftican Violets with Copic Markers, and Prisma Pencils.  I did want to match Kathy Racoosin's Day 10 card sample of using distress inks on my background. I then fussy cut the flower and stems out, and tied it with a piece of burlap thread, as she had somewhat done. The Sequins are Kennedy Grace Creations Enchanted Evening. The sentiment is from the same set.
To keep with the Spring feel of the card, I chose a floral design from Crate Paper. It matched the colors so well also.

Hope this brings sunshine in your life today,

Julie Nutting "Mia" Paperdoll card

Well, another Spring birthday card and this one I used the Paper Smooches Happy Birthday die cut on the front of it! This is the "Mia" Julie Nutting Paper Doll and she is just so flirty and fun!! I added a K & Co. Lady Bug, and a Want2Scrap butterfly to show the Springtime feel! All the papers and tag are all Prima Marketing, with a small tag at the bottom from my stash. The cream bow is from Snug Hug seambinding, Trendy Twine in gold and white, collaged with 8 Prima Marketing blossoms, paper flowers, and tiny blossoms from my stash.
The doll is colored with my Copic Sketch Markers which were, skin: E000. E00. E21; hair: E53 and 2 Prismacolored pencils of orange, and brun.
I made this for a special friend, and for the Frilly and Funkie "Welcome Spring" challenge.

Julie Nutting Spring Card

Using my Julie Nutting Mindy stamp, I stamped with one Momento Tuxedo Black, and then colored in with Copic Markers. Colors used: BG70, BG72, BG75, E21, E00. E000, RV17. RV19, R21.
I made a card base with Prima Marketing pattern papers, and matching tag. The doily was cut from white cardstock from the DoCrafts X-cut Vintage doily die.  May Arts Lace 1.5 was folded several times and glued down onto the tag. I then layered several Prima Marketing flowers from Tales of Me and You collection. I punched hearts and glued pearl hearts to them. I wanted to have a floating heart in the middle of the flowers so fan folded a piece of 1/4" pink paper by 1 inch length. I adhered pearl hearts to all the pink paper hearts as well as the "spring" fold. It needed a bow so I used May Arts 1/4" Hot Pink Organza ribbon.
I actually made it for someone special's upcoming birthday and so tickled how it came out!!
