Clearsnap August Challenge

Clearsnap August Challenge was "bodacious burgundy and dahlia meet spicy mustard and lush greens in this color challenge". Using all of the Susan K.Weckesser ink, I chose her "lush" green color Fresh for the ferns with the Colorbox Tropical Art Screen. For the spicy mustard I saw it as the gold in the picture and used her Shimmer ink to go around the outside of the frame. Just to finish the scene off, the floor was her Cocoa pigment ink, the wording on the chalkboard was the Snow color, and for and the background was Ice. The kitty cat is Paper Smooches Chubby Friends stamp, and was masked in order to add the Dahlia/Magenta/pink ink highlights. She is painted with Smooch Illuminate in order for the colors in the challenge to show up as the primary ones and it looked so pretty! I used seam binding and dyed it with the Dahlia ink as well. The 2 sentiments "for you", and "Grateful" on the inside, were from Blossoming Buds set also by Paper Smooches. The floor outline was the black Smooch ink. Some shading with Copic C1 and C5. By the way, the background color and floor are both Susan K. Weckesser ink Ice and Cocoa.

Here are the steps I used:
Stamped Paper Smooches sentiment with Colorbox Color Pop Susan K. Weckesser Snow
Added ink directly to Clearsnap Colorbox Art Screen called Tropical
Masked the cat's body to just add the Dahlia ink to the stripes, nose and eyebrows.
Frost Smooch painted onto the white and Pink to the eyebrows.
Added ink directly to the  seam binding.

DCWV Ocean Breeze Layout

These are fabulous papers from DCWV that I had to use on my fabulous pictures from my recent trip to Boston. We saw whales up close but my photos were not this close up and clear but the Boston Harbor Cruise Instagram accounts post the pictures from your exact trip so you can use them.  So the one on the left is from that sight. Anyway, it was amazing!! We really enjoyed it!

Simple Stories Sn@p Album Pages

Using My Minds Eye papers and other embellishments in my stash, I made quick school pages for my college daughter. I used past pics as well as made more pocket pages with inserts to have ready for all the next ones. Here are just some of them. I did ink with Clearsnap Chestnut Roan to distress the edges. The pics and handwritten notes were ones she had used on her bulletin board over the past 2 years. Glad I found all of her stash including even her note card as a mat for one of the notes! She loved it and appreciated seeing it all together.

Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home Card

Such a funny image on the cover for Paper Crafter's Corner Magazine Magazine Cover, this week! So without further ado, here is my interpretation. Am using Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home, Apple Pie, and Homemade pattern paper which reminded me of a mother working tirelessly.  I pleated with the Homemade pattern paper, and adhered on the right with Scotch ATG.  Put pop dots under the cut out piece with the frame. The bow and string with a pretty blue button to finish it off.
Walnut Distressed ink was used through out.

DCWV Country Fair Double Layout

Here's the one layout for all the challenges:

I had SOOOOO many photos from my fun trip with my girlfriend that I couldn't figure out how to fit them all on one layout. Then, using the PCC Magazine Monday challenge, I pulled out my Susan Lenart Kazmer silver metal embellishments, brads, and my Project Life date stamp, to pushed myself to fit EVERY one of them on ONE layout!!! And here is the result!! Thank DCWV's July Sketch for the layout that I pulled from to match up with. Same papers as last week: DCWV's Treasure Stack. Other supplies not already mentioned are: Score-it-all tool to make the creases perfectly; Scotch Tape Glider, Beacons 3 in 1 glue to hold the flap; more Petaloo Daisies; Martha Stewart butterfly punch; Fiskars 12" Trimmer.
