DCWV Winter in the Woods Layout

Here is a layout for the DCWV Diary 1st Stack-a-holic for the new year! Wow! Love these gorgeous papers for the DCWV in their Winter in the Woods stack! The gorgeous silver glitter papers, icy blues, and grays paired with kraft is a blast to use, too. Here's the layouts and sketch:

A 2nd page was necessary because there were so many terrific pics I couldn't fit on just one! There are also 2 hidden areas to add even more of them.
If you haven't noticed, I use challenges to make me more creative to achieve my goal of making more layouts, and cards. The love of crafting and giving my family and friends scrapbooks made with love is what keeps me trying new things every week. I hope to keep this going throughout the year and plan on being inspired by all of you out there in this wonderful world of scrapbooking. I can't wait to see what challenges me next! Hoping you are enjoying this as much as I am!! Happy end to our first month of 2015!!
Challenges entered:
Winter Wonderland: Lots of Layers: Several layers from the DCWV Winter in the Woods (How appropriate, right?), DCWV Corrugated, 2 silver glitter cardstocks, Washi tape, tags, tassels and button with threads.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge of Up in the clouds: Due to my pics of the winter clouds

Unfortunately, this layout was not seen by Megan Lloyd from DCWV as she apologized after the fact.  And because of the overlook, I was deemed worthy to "win" in hindsight and given a box of goodies from DCWV.  I am deeply grateful for the supplies to have for upcoming submissions. ;)

  1. Happy end of January to you too Bev! I loved looking at your wonderful layouts. Your interpretations of the sketch are great and I love how you have hidden photos that add more interest. The tassels and tags are just right and everyone looks to be having such fun on that trip so it is great to preserve those memories.

  2. You did a wonderful job on this project! Yes- you definitely did convey the wonderful magic of winter and I adore both the photography and the clever layout. I really like how you had hidden pictures in addition to the ones we see up front. I thought the tassels were a great take on your inspiration sketch and adds just a wonderful bit of texture. This made me smile and made me want to don my snow gear and head outside for some snowy fun of my own! Either that or have a cup of hot chocolate! :) Thanks for sharing your work and for participating in this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
