DCWV Candy Cane Lane & Holiday Glitzy Glitter Christmas layout

Paper Crafter's Corner Magazine Monday #127: Ornaments used in the upper right & Cursive titles.
Using the fabulous DCWV Stacks, Candy Cane Lane and Holiday Glitzy Glitter, I made this fabulous Christmas Layout.  The sketch was a little complicated but I decided that I really LOVED this Poinsettia paper and fussy cut the flowers from one sheet and added it to the other sheet.  May Arts silver glitzy string was put through a Xyron x for it to become sticky to attach to the page to make them look like ornaments.  The title was made using the Cricut Explore in Design Space with my Christmas cartridge for this beautiful sentiment in cursive. Other papers were added as well to follow the sketch. Hope you are having a wonderful holiday and enjoying your family and friends as I am.  God bless and Merry Christmas!

PaperCrafter's Corner Blog Challenge and Giveaway!!

I was inspired by the magazine cover below! Such an adorable picture of the hustle and bustle of a busy shopping mall!! See all those packages the man is carrying? Well, that's what gave me the idea to make decorative packages for this week's challenge.
The first package above is made with die cutting and inking the white poinsettias with Cranberry ink from Clearsnap. Tied with twice, once with red ribbon, and then twine. This makes it easy to get into the package by sliding the twine upward.
The second is made from DCWV Candy Cane Lane (obviously) which has gorgeous glitter papers which I used to "Upcycle" a cheese box. This took the longest since I didn't have washi tape for the sides I took time to precisely cut and matchup the diagonal stripe paper cut to size. Using satin ribbon tied in a bow and an adorable striped button atop.
The third is a die cut gift card holder with another die cut snowflake from glitter paper and decorative bling centered. Now I have 3 gorgeous packages ready for Christmas!!

Anna Griffin Christmas Card of 2015

After seeing the first Christmas inspired magazine cover for 2015, I began working on getting my supplies out to play with to make some cards! This card is made from Anna Griffin images, and embellishments, all combined together. The layers include: a gold ATC card, rosette with an ornament on top, then a bow, and an angel holding a tree image. All of this is attached to the card base. I folded the rosette and arranged it all. I love the vintage feel and quality of her products, and it was a joy to use them. I felt that the Angel holding the tree reminded me of the tree on the cover and the rosette reminded me of all the circles on it. Hope you enjoy it!

Here is my layout using my new stack: Hello Darlin'
I fussy cut all the elements and added a gold paper clip, and 3 pieces of bling. Hope you enjoy it!
The flowers stacked on the right side reminded me of the stacked pumpkins in the Monday Magazine challenge on Paper Crafter's corner here:
Here is my card using the same DCWV Hello Darlin' stack and their sketch.

Together Layout

Using Carta Bella's collection Beautiful Moments, I fussy cut and used several stickers from the main sheet. Layers abound with multiple matts. The photos are of a wonderful time spent with my daughter at her sorority parents' weekend event. Using so few pics I am relying on the journaling tucked behind the pictures. This is one of my favorite collections of paper due to the beautiful images, and hoping you enjoy the layout! The title was cut on my Cricut Explore with Soiree Grace lettering.
Challenges I am entering:

Paper Crafter's Corner Magazine Monday #123 Because of the picture taken at night of our group smiling. Kind of like the Jack of Lanterns in the picture.

Some Odd Girl Fox Harvest Card

I found these little foxes and colored them for #thedailymarkerchallengeDay3 challenge of daily coloring for the month of October 2015. I love that I was able to use it right away on a card for someone special!! Cute little guy isn't he? Hoping to get caught up on all my snail mail needing to go out this time of year! Birthdays, and such the whole month.

Vintage Fall Card

The image I used is a October Afternoon Cherry Hill Wild Card that is only in cream and black. I colored it for #thedailymarker30day3 with The Daily Marker with my Copic Markers. Added cardstock from my scraps, and added embellies from Maya Road with Divine Twine. Viola!
Trying to get cards done every day after coloring is harder than you think considering that I have a day of "other stuff"!! But what a stash of cards after the 30 days. Today, I had tried something Kathy Racoosin had shown as inspiration but couldn't finish it nor decide how to keep going with it, so I stopped and reached for something I had been thinking about after seeing Steph's Magazine cover as seen below. So finished this for that challenge, and allowed me to have some coloring fun and really enjoy this creative process!!

DCWV Fall Layout

Loved making this layout using the DCWV Sweater Weather stack along with their Fall & Halloween combo matstack, burlap and corrugated stacks. That's a mouthful!! The vintage buttons are from my stash. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  I did put the square burlap under the shape instead of separately.

Crazy Bird Hugs!

Loving these Tim Holtz Crazy Birds and the Ellison Dies to match! Die cut the bird and its eyes and mouth out, then popped up eyes/mouth with Scrapbook adhesive mini black squares. Inked the edges. Used a Simon Says Stamp die Hugs which is one of their exclusives from last year, with Bazzill cardstock to match greenish blue bird. Colored bird with copics. Added washi tape (One has orange leaves) from my stash and Viola! Enjoy!

Birthday Bird

Love the new Crazy Things stamp set that Tim Holtz added to coordinate with his already hilarious Bird Crazy stamps and after seeing them, am dying for them. But in the meantime, since I had this challenge, I decided to see what I may have already. Scrounging through my crafty supplies, I ran across Creative Imaginations epoxy stickers with birthday hats! Voila! Stamped with Tuxedo black ink and colored with Copics. The background pattern paper is Simple Stories Summer stripe, and The Twinery Caribbean and  Lemondrop twine was used as well. These images make me laugh! So cute!

For this challenge I matched my project with the fish on the cover of the second magazine.  I was reminded of the big eyes and mouth similar to the bird! Also, used turquois and yellow colors to match, as well.

New York Sky Line Layout

Here is my New York Layout for the Paper Crafter's Corner Challenge and was done to match the focus on the silhouette of buildings, grays and black of the background, and white title of the Magazine cover.  I used Paper House Productions on the left page, and Creative Imaginations and black cardstock on the right. Mat cardstock is a glossy champagne color to match the glitter on the page.
Pictures are taken from the Staten Island Ferry boat ride which is free if you have the subway pass. You can't beat the views and I'd even recommend going at 6pm so you get the full affect! Enjoy!

Adult Coloring is Fun with Lindsay Ostrom drawing!

This is a drawing done by the amazing Lindsay Ann Ostrom, who published 3 books out for #AdultColoringBooks by Adornit!! She had sent these to me personally, and of course had a blast coloring in all these beautiful flowers!! I used my Copic Markers. Enjoy reading more about her on her blog, FB, and Instagram! Used Crystal Lacquer by Ranger for flower centers! Sentiment by Paper Smooches.
This week's challenge asked us to use at least one of the following for our projects: Coloring, Crayons, A Coloring Book Page, A Coloring Book Character, Crayola Colors, A Story About Coloring as a Kid, Pictures of You Coloring (as a kid or now!), Melted Wax, which I did with Lindsay's coloring book page, and copics!

The Daily Marker Pop Up Challenge-Day 2

I made a card using the following supplies: Simon Says Stamp exclusive made by Paper Smooches called Stamptember. Love that Turtle!! Using Laura Bassan's inspiring YouTube video, made the 3 balloons having LINES, and then added the thread too!! Spellbinders Oval lined die as well to stay with the theme and match Kathy's inspiration on her blog. Colored the turtle using my copics.
The Daily Marker Pop Up Challenge-LINES ADD LINES WITH A DIE CUT #TheDailyMarkerPopUpChallenge

The Daily Marker Pop Up Challenge August 14th-22nd

This last week Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker Blog had a Pop Up Challenge to use lines. On Day 1 she showed how to make a card using lines drawn with a Sharpie and colored in with Copics. Good for me that she extended the dates to turn them in!!! Have been running up and down the highway getting college kids to their respective schools and so very busy!
So here is my card for that challenge. Also using the inspiration pic from Paper Crafter's Corner, I chose Greens, Browns, and Blue to match that. Love how it all came out! I made the lines on two different Atc cards and afterward noticed how well they looked side by side so put them together on the actual card.  Added the sentiment "Have a...day" from Waffleflower Stamps, and "happy" from Little Yellow Bicycle die cut in blue scrap paper. Hope you enjoy my work!

DCWV July Stack-a-holic Card

I used DCWV's Birthday stack in 12x12 for the large journaling spot on the front, and the remainder of papers, including the "party" banner is from the 6x6 stack. Love all of these papers and have used every inch of them for multiple of cards!! Just made this up quick and added a nice gift card onto a tag and added "Birthday" ribbon with a Tim Holtz stapler. Everything except the DCWV papers were from my stash. Hope you have a great day!
