DCWV Butterfly Garden Card

This is the sketch for DCWV January Stack Challenge for cards:

I used DCWV Butterfly Garden Stack and Serenity Cardstock stack for the green metallic cardstock. The tag is from Clear Scraps and is stamped, colored with copics, painted white behind the image, and the sprayed to give it the water effect. This is so easy and fun to do! White DecoArt pen was used to write the sentiment. Washi and sequins were apart of my stash! :)
Here is a close up of the Clear Scraps acrylic.
Challenges:
Winter Woodland Lots of Layers: My layers are 2 layers from Butterfly Garden pattern paper stack, lace, sequin strip, washi tape, one sheet from Serenity Cardstock, ribbon and then the acrylic made into a tag.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Up in the Clouds: Due to the wet rain look of the acrylic tag.
Paper Crafter's Corner Challenge: For the butterfly flying through the middle of many layers on the card.

DCWV Winter in the Woods Layout

Here is a layout for the DCWV Diary 1st Stack-a-holic for the new year! Wow! Love these gorgeous papers for the DCWV in their Winter in the Woods stack! The gorgeous silver glitter papers, icy blues, and grays paired with kraft is a blast to use, too. Here's the layouts and sketch:

A 2nd page was necessary because there were so many terrific pics I couldn't fit on just one! There are also 2 hidden areas to add even more of them.
If you haven't noticed, I use challenges to make me more creative to achieve my goal of making more layouts, and cards. The love of crafting and giving my family and friends scrapbooks made with love is what keeps me trying new things every week. I hope to keep this going throughout the year and plan on being inspired by all of you out there in this wonderful world of scrapbooking. I can't wait to see what challenges me next! Hoping you are enjoying this as much as I am!! Happy end to our first month of 2015!!
Challenges entered:
Winter Wonderland: Lots of Layers: Several layers from the DCWV Winter in the Woods (How appropriate, right?), DCWV Corrugated, 2 silver glitter cardstocks, Washi tape, tags, tassels and button with threads.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge of Up in the clouds: Due to my pics of the winter clouds

Unfortunately, this layout was not seen by Megan Lloyd from DCWV as she apologized after the fact.  And because of the overlook, I was deemed worthy to "win" in hindsight and given a box of goodies from DCWV.  I am deeply grateful for the supplies to have for upcoming submissions. ;)

Authentique Crush Layout using Spellbinders Mystical Embrace die

I loved this paper from Authetique called Crush! Don't you just love the blue and pink colors together?! I used Spellbinders' dies to make hearts and this GORGEOUS frame from the new Mystical Embrace set using the 5x7 one to frame my family picture.

I am entering this layout for the following challenges:
PaperCrafter'sCorner Weel #84-For it's vintage feel, floating hearts, and trying something new, which I did by using the new Spellbinders' die and Authentique Crush papers which were their new 2015 collection.
Simon Says Have a Heart Wednesday Challenge: Hearts die cut and added to layout as a banner.
I'm #403 on that challenge because of how popular it is! ;)
Just Us Girls #277 Challege: Hearts banner

Petaloo tag using Tattered Angels Sprays

Hey gals! Am having so much fun "playing" this weekend and only had time to post this one thing for the Paper Crafter's Corner challenge for Magazine Monday #82. I think it is going to be a busy year and am so pumped to be organized, crafting, traveling, scrapping, and having a blast! Hoping you are enjoying your 2015, too!
For this project I used Tattered Angels sprays, and Petaloo flowers.
