Having a day out at Webster's Flea Market
John, had Veteran's Day off so we decided to go out to Webster's Flea Market, which is a very long drive away!! We really enjoyed it though, and bought a ton of fruit and vegies to bring home!! We also found these very frilly orchids and because I just couldn't decide which one, I bought all three! These are fragrant ones, and so beautiful!!! We mostly walked around, tasting homemade treats, and enjoying all the odd things we saw. And guess who I ran into? My sister, Melody, who had driven all the way from south Florida, just for the day of shopping!! Wow!! We shopped together, and caught up more than we normally do on the phone! What a fun day!!
Here's what we bought: Yes, those delicious radishes, cauliflower, beefstake tomatoes, in the photos, as well as, red grapefruit, and navels, squash, avocados, apples, onions, green bell peppers, and scallions. Also, a new dog collar that has a bandana on it, and homemade turkey and stuffing dog biscuits, all for Ellie. For my daughter, I bought, a vintage french scarf, bicycle lights for the front and back inwhich she insisted on using that very night! You know, it's the little things that make us happy!!

Just a post of treat bags made of Candy Corn and Peanuts. If you haven't tried the combination yourself, it tastes alot like peanutbutter fudge. So far have made 72 of them, and still need more supplies. Really fun and really yummy. Give it a try and enjoy!

The Barn in Lake Alfred, Florida
I love going to Lake Alfred with girlfriends! Today was one of those days!! A group of new friends from my church, and I, drove out to Lake Alfred, which is about 30 miles away, to visit The Barn and Season Shop, and Stable Decor. It basically is 3 stores, a restaurant, and garden center, full of fun things! The antiques are from England and France, and the decor shop is just that exactly, as well as Brighton and other jewelry. I love the Season's Shop the most because of their beautiful decorations for the upcoming holidays. They had several ideas of using burlap, plain and stamped but my purchase was 2 spools of their 12 inch wide mesh. It can be seen used in red on the white hutch, in the 3rd photo, from the top. So sorry my pics were blurry!!! :(
I purchased the mesh in green with tinsel, as well as a green and red stripe. Can't wait till after Thanksgiving to start decorating for Christmas!! :)
Hope you too are enjoying this wonderful cool fall weather like we are having here in Florida!!
Enjoy,
Beverly
