Fancy Pants Park Bench sketch Layout

Scrap Our Stash May Sketch Challenge-must use butterflies. I used 3.

Using Fancy Pants Park Bench collection papers (from 2012), I put this sketch together. First, I was on vacation away from my scrap tools, so I used a kitchen bowl and plate to make the inner and outer circle for the sketch. I fussy cut the flowers and leaves from a pattern paper in the collection. for the circle at the bottom, I found that a journal label fit best. These pics were so needing to be scrapped and am so happy to have this beautiful layout to showcase our time together.

Carta Bella Yacht Club Layout

 May Scrap Our Stash

I stamped the rope with the old Discontinued Darcie Stamp New Horizons.

First I used the sketch upside down. Papers were Carta Bella Yacht Club pattern paper called Ship at Sea for its cruise ship against blue skies image that fit this theme of a photo from 22 years ago! The wave paper is Whale of a Tale. The Post card paper is Yacht Cards. I stamped the rope and fussy cut and added those pieces on the banner. The tag was cut from the Yacht Cards as well. I pieced the circle on top and added double string twine. Added the white corrugated star to balance the layout.
I made this to match my other page to in essence make it a double pager.
Here is how they look together.

Cochem Germany Layout

Scrap Our Stash Challenge Jan. 2022

THE CHALLENGE:
Create a layout using the following "recipe":
ONE word title (Germany)
TWO photos
THREE Embellishment clusters (bird on glass, banner, key with button)
FOUR Patterned Papers (Strip, floral, flower fussy cut, dot)
FIVE sequins (2 by title, 3 in corner)
I really took a long time to make this layout and was inspired by the papers in this Kaiser Craft Kit. They came with just a few papers and I immediately grabbed my scissors and started fussy cutting all of that big roses, bird, glass jar and other pieces out. The strips were the back of the black dot paper so that is why I had to add the floral piece to the side of the layout to use the stripes to make the border I used at the top. The bottom right corner is the leftover piece when you use a border punch and so I used it there. It all came together beautifully and you would never know I didn't have enough papers if I had not told you. The crochet lace is from my stash and I had never used it!!! I matched perfectly! Love when that happens! The photos are of a town called Cochem, Germany and the title is a Jolee sticker. Sequins were also added. Enjoy!
