Picket Fence Studios Mermaid Dear Card

Playing with Picket Fence Studios' Mermaid Dear stamp. I stamped with my MISTI and colored with Copics after fussy cutting the fish away. I wanted it to be about her in the sea. The die of the circle is from my stash, and the word die as well. The background was ink blended with 3 Distress Oxides, Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, and Pistachio. Love the water drops to add to the affect. I made this for a special person and they truly loved it! Enjoy!

Simple Stories Flea Market Layout 1

Loved our Spring Break photos of fun with my sister shopping Thrift and antique stores, and Flea Market in Alcoa, TN. We had a great time and here are our memories. Such fun!

Challenges:

Lavina Fairy Tag

After attending a fabulous class at Scraporium with Betty's Creative Studio (another store's make and take) that allowed me to "play" with all of the fabulous Lavina stamps like this one called, Mae Fairy. The ink blending was done previous to stamping, and then many smaller stamps layered in. The white Posca pen was used to add light to her wings! The end touch was a spray of gold to add iridescence.

Echo Park Fourth of July Layout

I used Echo Park Celebrate America Collection with all of its Red, White and Blue colors and fun fireworks graphics matched with gingham and stars pattern papers. For Technique, I used 2 stencils for the fireworks on the Bazzill Bling Diamond cardstock, with Christmas Red, Silver and Tim Holtz Distress stormy sky stickles. The bling and shine is iridescent and I love the look. The American Crafts Sparkle red cardstock was fussy cut around the "Fourth of July" sticker to bring more shine, as well. The tags have ribbon attached with the Tim Holtz tiny attacher stapler so 3 tags, and 3 staples. Journaling written on the tags: "We enjoyed the holiday with Bratwurst, broccoli salad, roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and watermelon. Fireworks were on our lake and enjoyed by the whole family. It was a wonderful relaxing family day, together!"

I used the Center Vertical column for Stacy's Tic Tac Toe: Metal (Staples where I attached the ribbon on each tag), Tags, Word Sticker (Title)

Please Enjoy!

Colorado Crafts Coffee ATC

Loved playing with the Colorado Craft Company Coffee House Stamp and this challenge over on A Cherry On Top Website. The additional items I used are: The Crafter's Workshop's Poppy stencil paired with Picket Fence Golden Rose Paste. Further I sprayed with Ranger Evergreen Bough, and then inked the edges with Memento Tuxedo black that was being used for the cute mouse. The mouse was colored with Copics: E33,E35,W1,W3,C1,C3,0. It took time to dry between layers but was so fun making it!! The thick paper was Blue Fern Studios, Bird Waltz, Bird song.

Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary card

Using the front page of the Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary collection I cut it down and added some other fussy cut another sheet with the clocks. The picture totally reminds me of the spirit of the woman this is for. I really hope it reminds her she is loved. The 100 is cut from Spellbinder's Filigree numbers by Becca Feeken cut from Bazzill Lakeshore cardstock. The Prima Flowers were added and then a few other details like the white filigree butterfly in my stash and the turquoise bling on the front and inside.

Graphic 45 Secret Garden on our back porch

Using this above sketch offered this "recipe" which is the March Double Layout challenge on A Cherry On Top. Just a note, it was not good for papers like mine that had writing or a certain direction. I made it work nonetheless. I hope you, too, will try it!! I actually made the photos AFTER making the layout because of the title.

Waffle Flower Snow Flake Cluster card

For this card, I used a new die from Waffle Flower called Snowflake Cluster. The die itself cut beautifully and I used the arrangement of the snowflakes as a perfect backdrop for the verse. I did cut one of the snowflakes away from the cluster to use later. The bg was made with Distress Oxide inks and splattered with Caribbean Blue Tattered Angels spray to add dimension and shimmer. Love all of the sparkle and shine. I added the Pinkfresh Studio Birthday Balloon Washi tape, die cut, and stamp set to finish the winter birthday theme.

Vintage Valentine #2

Hand drawn white paper to shadow the red doily, then fussy cut it out twice for both Valentines. There is a tiny doily cut in half and placed on either side of the center. The red frame was also fussy cut out of the ephemera and placed centered. The cut a part is from a 12x12 Authentique Papers Be Lovely. I made this to use individually like a bookmark. Enjoy!
