May Arts Ribbon Home Decor Project for the Holidays

Hey, here is a late post of a project I did for Christmas, with May Arts Burlap Ribbons, and twine.  I had purchased most of these items at garage sales and the velvet fabric at Salvation Army, in hopes of making something fun.  I hot glued the fabric to the bottom, and added the ribbon around the top of the box. The lid fits down into the box so this made it easier. To make the bow, I started wrapping the ribbon in loops till I didn't have any left.  I followed this procedure with the remaining burlap ribbon, wiring the two bunches together, and then added the jingle bells too.  Wanting more color, I made the red felt flowers.  I cut 1/2" strips of felt; glued it to a toothpick, I began wrapping it, but folded it over every little bit, and when I though each was "fat" enough, I cut the end and glued it down.  I used it to brighten up my daughter's room for the holidays, and later to store goodies in for a surprise.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Enjoy,
Beverly
