Epiphany Crafts Layout

I just love Epiphany Craft punches and have used two on this family layout.  Also, used Pink Paislee's Queen Bee line and crochet lace, as well as twine from Pink by design store.  The flowers are cut mostly from Cricut Cartridge The Flower Shoppe.  Love that cartridge!! Inked with a brown roan cats eye.  Hope you enjoy the page.

Yoder's Amish Restaurant in Sarasota

John and I decided we had had enough of the rat race and took a day trip to Sarasota, Florida.  We drove around and saw some of the sights, and decided to stop for lunch at the reknown Yoder's Amish Village and Restaurant. I couldn't turn down their fresh out of the field vegitables so had the vegie plate.  Then I was faced with the delima of which kind of homemade bread, wheat or corn muffins.  Yep, the corn muffins won out! YUMMY, melt in your mouth goodness. After being so good on my new year's diet, I splurged on Peanut Butter Cream Pie...Don't you love diets like mine??  Well, it was as delicious as they had said on television's "Man vs Food", and we ate every bite up.  We went antiquing and found a turn of the century RCA music/record album, sewing trims, buttons, and knobs.  Just fun stuff.  Unfortunately, there is only one scrapbook store and SD Scrapbooking is closing the end of this month, so had to go by and find something to buy, and of course I did.  Wonderful ladies, too.  Well, stopped again on the way home to get our strawberry fix, at Parksdale Farm Market in Plant City. Well, I blew my diet again, and had a milk shake!  Yum again! Bought some delicious fresh fruit, and came on home with tomatoes, honey dew, peaches, nectarines, and onions.  Made Greek salad for dinner at home, and had the melon and fruit the next days.  It is so nice to take day trips to just enjoy all the things right at our doorsteps.  I sure did! Hope you have a great day!
Enjoy!

May Arts Ribbon Home Decor Project for the Holidays

Hey, here is a late post of a project I did for Christmas, with May Arts Burlap Ribbons, and twine.  I had purchased most of these items at garage sales and the velvet fabric at Salvation Army, in hopes of making something fun.  I hot glued the fabric to the bottom, and added the ribbon around the top of the box. The lid fits down into the box so this made it easier. To make the bow, I started wrapping the ribbon in loops till I didn't have any left.  I followed this procedure with the remaining burlap ribbon, wiring the two bunches together, and then added the jingle bells too.  Wanting more color, I made the red felt flowers.  I cut 1/2" strips of felt; glued it to a toothpick, I began wrapping it, but folded it over every little bit, and when I though each was "fat" enough, I cut the end and glued it down.  I used it to brighten up my daughter's room for the holidays, and later to store goodies in for a surprise.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Enjoy,

2011 Photo Album

So sorry I haven't posted my projects, but nothing was presentable. Here is an album I put together of 2011 photos this week. You can see it at www.beverlyjordan.shutterfly.com as well as on my Facebook. Enjoy! The photo on the front was taken by Julie at Little's Protraits on New Broad Street in Baldwin Park, Florida. They were taken on New Smyrna Beach. She did a fantastic job!

New Orleans Art Museum Gardens

Don't you just love this Blue Dog?! We are pictured at the New Orlean's Art Museum gardens. I sat the camera on a flat surface and set the timer. Not bad since we all fit into the shot! By the way, I write reviews of my travels and opinions on Trip Advisor, and you can see my review there. So far, I have left most on the great food we had. Hope everyone had a great summer and enjoyed maybe seeing sights and people you really wanted to. I know we did!
