Authentique Patriotic Card

Happy Memorial Day! Using Authentique Paper Freedom Collection, Sizzix Plaid embossing folder used on cream Bazzill cardstock, and Creative Memories corner rounder to add a fun edge. Added to Ruby Slipper Bazzill cardstock. Maya Road cream yellow ruffle ribbon across.  Small tag stamped with an older 2011 stamp and a flower from my stash.  Love this image which shows a woman holding the bellowing flag on the ocean, just like pic on the magazine scene showing the other woman's scarf blowing in the wind and on the ocean, too.

DCWV Layout Won for May Stack a Holic Challenge

I used the following DCWV stacks: Treasures Stack for the "stone" background, Hello Darlin' for the "wood" mat and top strip, Chateau Lavender Cardstock for the Green strip, and one of my favorites, their Corrugated piece to add a bit of dimension. Can't remember which I got the leaf one from so I'll update this when I get back home. The Title was fussy cut from one of the sheets of random letters in the Treasures stack.  Then I added the wooden sticks with natural twill, tying them with twine. I stamped with Imaginese Neon Green ink the words "Relax" and "No, Race" to add to the story. And that is NOT a real gator but a statue, since she hikes around where that landmark is located. See she is taking Journalism at University of Florida and has a blog called, Hikes n Bytes, writing about places to hike in the area of the school. She loves to hike and write about it! Fun huh?
This is my project for DCWV Stackaholic Challenge on Facebook as well as there blog HERE.

As well as, this is my project for the
Paper Crafter's Corner Magazine Monday challenge #145: For a young girl who does what she loves.

Graphic 45 Time to Flourish May Layout

Here is my double page layout that I used Graphic 45 Time to flourish May sheets, one of each.  After cutting the pieces all out of the sentiment page, I then used the beautiful floral page as the background. After doing the left side I realized I will need to buy another sheet for the right side, so that is yet to come. The store is 1:45 away so not today.
I fussy cut the large flower out on the upper right side of the floral paper. Too much was taken out so I reinforced the area with a scrap, as seen in the above pic.

Here is the front side of the page, and you can see I covered it with the stamps, and popped 2 of them up.

Fussy cut flower popped up and Crystal Lacquer added to the butterfly.
I added mats to all the pieces even on the purple background which won't show up until I redo it onto the floral paper.  Totally love how it came out and that my daughter's outfit matched. That was not planned but love that it did!! I am submitting this layout for the following challenges.
Paper Crafter's Corner Magazine Monday Challenge #144- "May"inspired cover, Flowers, ribbon on the right page and has "May" written on the page.

Graphic 45 Steampunk Feminine cards

I loved making these cards with Graphic 45 Steampunk die cuts and other papers and ribbon roses from my stash. I used Tombow foam to pop up the center pieces. Prima Brown ink applied to the edges to add dimension, too. The roses were cut apart and arranged in such a way to give the most interest. Though they look fairly fast, it took me hours. LOL!! I have made these for friends of mine since my mother passed away 20 years ago. Enjoy!

National Scrapbook Day Marathon

Happy National Scrapbook Day 2016! #NSD2016
If you haven't noticed, I love to scrapbook and so enjoyed all the inspiration from the fabulous Designers on Scrapbook and Cards Today! The day was full of fun events and challenges.  I have a long list to get started. Also have been using some Echo Park Paper company challenges as well.  And they had 10 challenges as well. So I spent my Mother's Day weekend spending it with my hubby and daughter watching movies and playing along with them.
Here's just some of stash of Echo Park Paper Company
I hope to be publishing some layouts and cards soon.
