Frosty Shaker tag or ornament

December Mood Board for Kennedy Grace Creations is so gorgeously done!! Love all the soft blues and silvers together!! Just love the inspiration for today!! You can see my post over there by going to the Kennedy Grace Creations blog is HERE.
I love to embellish gift bags as well as making ornaments and today's creation can be used for either. I first die cut the pretty window frame using mirrored cardstock, and then made it into a shaker. The first thing was to trace the shape, and it out with cardstock that I could use my Copics on. Using the transparency of the stamped image that comes with the set, I arranged the rose cluster where I could see them peeking through the window.  I lined up the stamp where the picture was and then stamped exactly where I wanted to with my MISTI. Coloring is so relaxing and I used the mood board to choose my colors. The stamp I chose was the Kennedy Grace Creations Splendid Rose stamp set. Afterward, I cut a piece of transparency to the size of the window shape by tracing with a marker and then fussy cutting it out. I dusted it with the powder tool so as to keep it from having static cling with the sequins. I then cut the foam tape to go around the edge of the shape and made two layers so that it was thick so the sequins could bounce around more. Using the Crystal Lacquer to ensure that the frame stayed tightly glued, I then put Kennedy Grace Creations Frozen Sequins in and adhered all of the layers. Once everything was dry, I adhere a piece of blingy string to the back. Viola!
Other Supplies included:
Copic Markers: BG05, BG02, B02, B0000; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; MISTI, Ranger Crystal Lacquer; Transparency; Fiskars scissors; Neenah White 110 lb cardstock; Tonic Silver Mirror paper Metallic Gloss; Spellbinders Heartfelt Creations Decorative Oval Window die; Platinum machine; Scotch foam tape; tweezers; EK powder tool; May Arts Blingy String.

Hope you will join in on the Kennedy Grace Creations challenge using the gorgeous mood board!! Be sure to share in the comments on the blog.

Baby's 1st Christmas using Kennedy Grace Creations

Hello, it's Beverly here today!! I know you all may be out shopping this being Black Friday but with Christmas around the corner, I am hustling to get holiday greeting cards out for all my favorite people in the world! One of those is my girlfriend who just had her baby girl, and I have delighted in "playing helper" to her and her family.  Such a pleasure to have a newborn baby in your arms, isn't it!! Well I felt I really wanted to make her an extra special card using Kennedy Grace Creations Baby Be Mine Stamps set paired with Sweet Baby Mine Sequins to make this delightful shaker for Baby's 1st Christmas.
First I started with a trial run of coloring this cute giraffe in pink. It just didn't make me happy. I tried again and made her yellow with pink dots, and that seemed to be a more natural look, so I went with that one. The original mock up was not as bright, so I tried more intense colors. Also, I had this fabulous paper pack from Basic Grey that had vibrant pinkish reds and I felt it carried the colors so much better than stark reds or vibrant solids.

I hope it inspires you to make all your Holiday cards early, as it takes me quite a long time for special treats to my dear friends!! But I love every minute of it!!
Here are some close ups:

Such a delightful mix of pastels in the Sweet Baby Mine Sequins including little seed beads:

Supplies also included: Copics: BG53, BG11, BG10, YG13, E000, E21, E11, Y15, Y13, RV21, RV13, R22, R00, R20, C1, C3 and blender solution; Neenah Bright White 110#; Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad; MISTI, Basic Grey Christmas Evergreen 6x6 pad, Spellbinders Platinum Die cutting machine; Prickley Pear D043 Flourished Oval Nesting Die; Hammermill Transparency; Scotch foam mounting tape.

Pinkfresh Studio Pink Florals Card

I loved using the new Pinkfresh Studio Say it with Florals stamp and their coordinating die!! After seeing the gorgeous set, I grabbed it up!! I chose to match the pink parchment paper with different inks from Simon Says Stamp Hybrid cube inks and Mommy Lehey in the Jelly Bean set. So pretty in PINK!! It was paramount to use my MISTI tool to have each stamp lined up with the die cut patterns on the paper.  There are 3 sizes of flowers and three layers per flower. One other layer is used for the "white" flower.  For the leaves, I only used the Mommy Lehey Leafy green ink and didn't do any extra layering which is also included in the stamp set.
I loved the way it came out and have made more since! Love adding the little pearls in the centers to add some dimension! My friend loved it and I loved how pretty it came out!! Will be trying different inks to see how they look with it too. Great stationary gift idea, as well as, having extra "thank you's" for the holiday hosts and gift givers!
Other supplies include:
Memento Tuxedo black ink
Neenah Bright White in 110 lb paper
Fiskars 12 inch trimmer
Bone folder

Tis the Season to Make Christmas Cards

Don't these colors just ooooze Christmas?
Using Kennedy Grace Creations November's Mood Board I made my card.

Taking my Neenah 110 lb paper cut at 4.25 by 5.5 inches, I put it through my Xyron Creative Station to put adhesive completely on one side of the thick cardstock. I started with Cosmic Shimmer Egyptian Gold Gilding Flakes, picking up some of the deeper golds, and red flakes to make it match the gorgeous mood board above.  As you can see in my picture, I put some of the silver flakes aside and added all reminding flakes back into the jar. Once the flakes were covering the entire piece, I began smoothing and buffing the front with a Swifter Sweeper Dry Sweeping cloth. I cut one sheet in half to make it easier to use. I buffed it all out being careful to not push down too hard but only used a buffing motion until I got the shiney piece you see now.

I stamped the Kennedy Grace Creations Grace's Little Note bouquet onto the same Neenah cardstock. Copics I used were the deeper reds: R59, R39, and a touch of RV19, as well as YG97, YG95, YG93. Fussy cutting the flower out, I then used my Xyron to add the adhesive again to the back.

For the front sentiment, I liked using Paper Smooches Merry Christmas die.  I cut it in two colors of white, and a deep red. I then adhered both layers together and added both the flower bouquet and the sentiment to the front. I added Wink of Stella in Glitter Gloss to add more sparkle! Viola! Simple and yet stunning to see in person!

I loved using the gilding to bring a festive feel to my holiday greeting card. Hope this inspires you to try some of the products I showcased today and thank you for visiting my blog!
Yours truly,
Beverly
