Birthday Blessing Card

I am trying to get ahead on the many winter birthdays so am doing another this month but with a different stamp set. I just love the Vintage Tea cup!
Using the Kennedy Grace Creations Vintage Tea set, I stamped with VersaMark Ink on Black smooth cardstock. I then embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. It almost looks gold but has a beautiful silver-gold color instead. It also is fine powder and embossed the tiny cursive letters perfectly!! Other tools I used were my EK Success Powder tool and Marvy Embossing Heat Tool. I then colored in the areas with my new Prismacolor pencils making sure as to sharpen each often to get into the tight and small places. I wanted a vibrant color and did a little bit of shading. Hope you enjoy the card today.
The pattern papers matched up wonderfully and are Echo Park Party Time. Other supplies include: Doodlebug Designs trifold card, and pink cardstock

Kennedy Grace Creations Happy Birthday Card

Here are the Kennedy Grace Creations challenge for the month of January. I selected the diagonal line: Die Cut, Rhinestones and Ribbon! The easy way for my creativity time during this season of the year, because I am making a birthday card for a close friend. I have so many friends birthdays coming up that I think I may continue to use this as a
jumping off point.
January's Challenge Tic Tac Toe

Other supplies I used are: Kennedy Grace Creations Beautiful Sweet Rose for the Happy Birthday sentiment; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; MISTI stamping tool; Copic Markers: RV02, RV13, RV04, C1, C3, C5, YG11, YG13; Fiskars 12" trimmer and small scissors; Offray silver satin 5/8" ribbon; Glossy Accents; Scotch tape runner; Platinum 6 die cutting machineSpellbinders Annabelle's Trousseau Layering frame from the Chantilly Paper Lace CollectionSpellbinder's Tool 'n One; Pattern paper is Quick Quotes Picadilly Pink Collection QQP-P1200; Want2Scrap pearl embellishments; white and pink cardstock and Neenah 110# cardstock for use with the copic markers.
The Spellbinder's were purchased over Christmas and I just HAD to use them!!! Bought at Simon Says Stamp.

I cut the beautiful die set out in white cardstock and a hot pink cardstock for the frame of Annabelle's Trousseau die set. Then I cut a special piece out of Neenah 100# cardstock for the inner smaller frame again but discarded the white lattice framework and kept the center piece which was stamped with the flower. After coloring it with my copics, I assembled the entire card onto a premade 4.5" x 6.5" card base putting the Quick Quotes patterned paper down first.  When I was assembling the papers, I left room for the ribbon to come through in the middle and be tucked under. So at this point, I inserted that gray/silver satin ribbon under the card base on each side. I used the end of a small pair of scissors to tuck it in and used Glossy Accents to adhere ribbon and close card base. Then I added pearl rhinestones as extra embellishments around the outside frame. I could have gone further but decided to finish it with the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Kennedy Grace Creations Sweet Rose stamp set. It is such a pretty flourished script font that I thought it would be perfect with the fancy frame.

Sparkling Blessing Vintage Tea Card

For today's post I wanted to share how to make a glitzy card for the holidays or a special birthday like this one I made. I started with the Vintage Tea Cup Set, which as you know is my favorite of all the Kennedy Grace Creations and was my first stamp set of theirs. The sentiment reads: Blessings to you. You're as special as a vintage tea. Using Neenah Crest White in 80 pound cardstock, I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Ink which is compatible with coloring with Copic Markers. To make the card more luxurious I used Deep Red paired with a hot pink deep red. Markers used were: R29, RV29, RV13. Further, to give the leaves a deep romantic yet vintage feel I pair deep olive greens with blue green: YG63, YG67, BG13. Then to add shadows and make it look three dimensional: C1, and C3.

Next, I chose the newest Spellbinders Chantilly Lace collection called Bella Rose Lattice Layering Frame by Becca Feeken, to frame the beautiful tea set. Using the Tonic Mirror Gold cardstock really made it POP!! I backed it with a stiff American Crafts Glitter cardstock. Also, I had die cut the stamped panel with the frame previously and then adhered all 3 layers (stamped panel, mirror gold, and glitter cardstock) to the card base.
Next came the embellishments and I loved this ribbon with the gold edge and matching deep magenta colors to bring out the colors even more. I made a triple bow, but that didn't seem like enough so I decided to add the vertical ribbon piece with the rhinestone buckle to really bring the sparkle to the already glitzy card! Also, added Wink of Stella in clear to the roses to add glitter to them.
Please take time to go over and see my post on Kennedy Grace Creations blog.

Frosty Shaker tag or ornament

December Mood Board for Kennedy Grace Creations is so gorgeously done!! Love all the soft blues and silvers together!! Just love the inspiration for today!! You can see my post over there by going to the Kennedy Grace Creations blog is HERE.
I love to embellish gift bags as well as making ornaments and today's creation can be used for either. I first die cut the pretty window frame using mirrored cardstock, and then made it into a shaker. The first thing was to trace the shape, and it out with cardstock that I could use my Copics on. Using the transparency of the stamped image that comes with the set, I arranged the rose cluster where I could see them peeking through the window.  I lined up the stamp where the picture was and then stamped exactly where I wanted to with my MISTI. Coloring is so relaxing and I used the mood board to choose my colors. The stamp I chose was the Kennedy Grace Creations Splendid Rose stamp set. Afterward, I cut a piece of transparency to the size of the window shape by tracing with a marker and then fussy cutting it out. I dusted it with the powder tool so as to keep it from having static cling with the sequins. I then cut the foam tape to go around the edge of the shape and made two layers so that it was thick so the sequins could bounce around more. Using the Crystal Lacquer to ensure that the frame stayed tightly glued, I then put Kennedy Grace Creations Frozen Sequins in and adhered all of the layers. Once everything was dry, I adhere a piece of blingy string to the back. Viola!
Other Supplies included:
Copic Markers: BG05, BG02, B02, B0000; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; MISTI, Ranger Crystal Lacquer; Transparency; Fiskars scissors; Neenah White 110 lb cardstock; Tonic Silver Mirror paper Metallic Gloss; Spellbinders Heartfelt Creations Decorative Oval Window die; Platinum machine; Scotch foam tape; tweezers; EK powder tool; May Arts Blingy String.

Hope you will join in on the Kennedy Grace Creations challenge using the gorgeous mood board!! Be sure to share in the comments on the blog.

Baby's 1st Christmas using Kennedy Grace Creations

Hello, it's Beverly here today!! I know you all may be out shopping this being Black Friday but with Christmas around the corner, I am hustling to get holiday greeting cards out for all my favorite people in the world! One of those is my girlfriend who just had her baby girl, and I have delighted in "playing helper" to her and her family.  Such a pleasure to have a newborn baby in your arms, isn't it!! Well I felt I really wanted to make her an extra special card using Kennedy Grace Creations Baby Be Mine Stamps set paired with Sweet Baby Mine Sequins to make this delightful shaker for Baby's 1st Christmas.
First I started with a trial run of coloring this cute giraffe in pink. It just didn't make me happy. I tried again and made her yellow with pink dots, and that seemed to be a more natural look, so I went with that one. The original mock up was not as bright, so I tried more intense colors. Also, I had this fabulous paper pack from Basic Grey that had vibrant pinkish reds and I felt it carried the colors so much better than stark reds or vibrant solids.

I hope it inspires you to make all your Holiday cards early, as it takes me quite a long time for special treats to my dear friends!! But I love every minute of it!!
Here are some close ups:

Such a delightful mix of pastels in the Sweet Baby Mine Sequins including little seed beads:

Supplies also included: Copics: BG53, BG11, BG10, YG13, E000, E21, E11, Y15, Y13, RV21, RV13, R22, R00, R20, C1, C3 and blender solution; Neenah Bright White 110#; Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad; MISTI, Basic Grey Christmas Evergreen 6x6 pad, Spellbinders Platinum Die cutting machine; Prickley Pear D043 Flourished Oval Nesting Die; Hammermill Transparency; Scotch foam mounting tape.

Tis the Season to Make Christmas Cards

Don't these colors just ooooze Christmas?
Using Kennedy Grace Creations November's Mood Board I made my card.

Taking my Neenah 110 lb paper cut at 4.25 by 5.5 inches, I put it through my Xyron Creative Station to put adhesive completely on one side of the thick cardstock. I started with Cosmic Shimmer Egyptian Gold Gilding Flakes, picking up some of the deeper golds, and red flakes to make it match the gorgeous mood board above.  As you can see in my picture, I put some of the silver flakes aside and added all reminding flakes back into the jar. Once the flakes were covering the entire piece, I began smoothing and buffing the front with a Swifter Sweeper Dry Sweeping cloth. I cut one sheet in half to make it easier to use. I buffed it all out being careful to not push down too hard but only used a buffing motion until I got the shiney piece you see now.

I stamped the Kennedy Grace Creations Grace's Little Note bouquet onto the same Neenah cardstock. Copics I used were the deeper reds: R59, R39, and a touch of RV19, as well as YG97, YG95, YG93. Fussy cutting the flower out, I then used my Xyron to add the adhesive again to the back.

For the front sentiment, I liked using Paper Smooches Merry Christmas die.  I cut it in two colors of white, and a deep red. I then adhered both layers together and added both the flower bouquet and the sentiment to the front. I added Wink of Stella in Glitter Gloss to add more sparkle! Viola! Simple and yet stunning to see in person!

I loved using the gilding to bring a festive feel to my holiday greeting card. Hope this inspires you to try some of the products I showcased today and thank you for visiting my blog!
Yours truly,
Beverly

Spellbinders Mystical Scripture Card

In light of this time of year, I wanted to do something inspiring a sense of mystery and fascination as well addressing how I fear the future in today's times. Here is what I came up with.
Using my Spellbinders Mystical die set which is so beautiful alone, I matched it with old Basic Grey Curio prints and the new stamp set from Kennedy Grace Creations Inspirational Verses. I really loved the verse, "Fear Not".  Such an important part of having faith that God is in control despite what evil men are doing.  I hope it gives you comfort as it did me.
